Breastfeeding plays an important part in the health and wellbeing of babies, mothers and families/whānau/aiga. It gives our children the very best start in life. These web pages aim to support more women to breastfeed successfully.

Why breast is best
If mum is finding breastfeeding hard going, encourage her to keep it up. Breastfeeding may not be easy for every mum at first, but it is worth persevering!
